| Bio: | Character: Ritsuka Aoyagi ("Loveless") Series/Fandom: Loveless Original or Alternate: Original Age: 12 Gender: Male Species: Human (but with cat ears) Sexuality: Ritsuka is prepubescent and has not really considered this. Appearance: Ritsuka is physically very small (4'8" and 68 lbs) , with chin-length dark, slightly-purple hair and violet eyes. Ritsuka also has two cat ears and a tail (in his world, all people have these ears until losing their virginity, whereupon they disappear). Ritsuka's body is often cut or bruised as the result of his abusive mother. His favorite article of clothing is a light blue sweatshirt, which he wears often. Personality: Ritsuka Aoyagi is far more mature and complex than the average 12 year old. Ritsuka often comes off to those who don't know him as being cold and spiteful. He is "tough" because of his troubled past. But despite appearances, he is really just lonely and confused. Since his brother was killed, he has been afraid of being abandoned by those he loves. He is not even able to trust his own memory, which disappeared completely in the past. He gradually does make friends and opens up a bit to them, but he still finds it hard to believe at times that people really like him. However, whatever his misgivings, he does genuinely cares about those around him. Abilities/Strengths: Ritsuka is being trained to fight, but as he isn't personally very found of violence he avoids using whatever physical abilities he may have. He is intelligent, and performs exceptionally well academically. He cares genuinely about those around gim. Also, as a result of the hardships he has endured, Ritsuka is far more mature than his peers in many ways (although he remains very sexually naive). Despite his inexperience due to amnesia, Ritsuka believes strongly in his opinions. Violence, in particular, is something he voices his thoughts on very well. Weapons: None Weaknesses: Ritsuka lost all of his memories not long ago, and has had to begin his new life from scratch, making him very inexperienced in many ways. Ritsuka finds it very hard to trust others. He insists on taking "photographs" with friends because he fears he won't be able to remember them otherwise. He wants to be close to those around him but cannot help harboring deep suspicions.He is especially emotionally vulnerable when it comes to his older brother. History: Ritsuka lost all of his memories two years ago for reasons which have not yet been determined. Since that time, he has become an entirely new person. While the old Ritsuka was outgoing and popular but academically average, this Ritsuka is reserved and intelligent. Despite his changed personality, his older brother Seimei always supported him. Ritsuka, in turn, idolized his older brother who he always thought of as caring and kind. Seimei, however, was (Ritsuka believed) killed in Ritsuka's own classroom not long ago. Ritsuka now lives with his mother, who is unstable and violent. She blames Ritsuka for Seimei's absense and abuses Ritsuka whenever he fails to live up to her memories of the old Ritsuka. Recently, he has begun to make a few friends at school and has become close to a rather strange older man named Soubi. Still, he has difficulty believing that these people really like him. Recently new, unflattering information has come to light concerning his brother Seimei. Seimei is not actually dead, and despite Ritsuka's impression of him being a kind and caring man, all evidence seems to point to the conclusion that he is in fact just the opposite. Seimei is a cruel and violent person. He does, however, seem to really care for Ritsuka, or at least to have some reason to be interested in him. He claims to want to create a "new world" for the two of them. Ritsuka finds this proposition bewildering. This strange turn of events has caused Ritsuka to become a stronger person, in order to stand up for those around him, but he still feels a strong internal conflict in this regard.
